Sony's Rolly is such a strange beast it either confuses, bemuses or amuses you...and now there's a new version with Bluetooth remote control mode. So you can now steer around your confusing, bemusing, amusing little robot MP3 dancer—in fact you can control up to seven of the SEP-50BTs, from a cellphone or laptop. Still, there's now a pink version too, and its price hasn't moved. It's still around $400, and its out November 21 in Japan. [RobotWatch]

Instructions for tethering your iPhone 3G or iPhone with 2.0 firmware are here

Recent developments have allowed iPhone hackers to compile background applications for the iPhone - among the most interesting so far is srelay, a SOCKS proxy server.

srelay running on your iPhone opens up a very exciting possibility - you can use your iPhone's EDGE connection with a laptop or other Wifi-enabled device.

A note of caution: Accessing your EDGE data plan through a laptop may be against your AT&T terms of service. Even modifying your iPhone to enable this service may be a violation. Please check before attempting this procedure.

Currently these instructions only work for Windows - as I don't have a Mac I can't really test anything on that side. I was hoping a...

Talks, lies, haters, fans.
I'm sick of this!
This is not a war and not even a game.
I originally developed ZiPhone for my own use.
Then people asked me to release it and I did.
I bought my first iPhone in Semptember 2007.
I released ZiPhone in February 2008.
I know you people are crazy about the iPhone
but believe me, I am not.
I think the 3g iPhone is not worth even buying
for people who already have the
first generation iPhone.
GPS ? I have a TomTom Go device.
3G data ? I have a 7.2 Mb/s card
in my laptop.
Apps ?
I have my iPhone.
Everything else ?
I have my life !

IF and WHEN there will be a new
ZiPhone you will be informed.
Stop asking, hating, begging.
By the way,
maybe you don't know the difference,
but ZiPhone was a real hack.
Software upgrades or custom firmwares
are a totally different thing.
A nice proof of concept, a nice work, but
that's not hacking..
But if that will ever be released
and that suits your needs,
use it. You'll be (hopefully) happy.

Another note:
I'm being reported of many people
faking me on many blogs and sites.
Check the profile (if there's one).
And don't take as gold any word from me that
you don't read here !

To any hacker out there:
FACTS speaks louder than words.

Peace out,
Zibri

What are you going to be watching on TV this thanksgiving holiday? Probably haven't given it a thought yet right. How about a 4 day marathon of Cool Tools (November 27-30th 7am-11pm). Cool Tools gives you an insider's look at the changing tools marketplace. From the newest innovations to improvements on old standbys, you'll see design, development, demonstrations and testing of the coolest tools out there.

Avoid the lines at the store and all the hassle that goes along with fighting the crowds to try and save $5 on a gift for your sister. She wants a Bosch PS20 anyway, so you might as well sit back on the couch watching Cool Tools on the TV, shop along at OhioPowerTool.com from the laptop and enjoy the weekend with too many left over turkey sandwiches.
