I finally took a day to update Tap Tap Revolution and get a few more features in.

Among the millions of new features are:
- MUCH better tap response
- Multitouch taps have been eliminated
- Pause and Exit buttons in game mode
- Clearer tap graphic
- High Scores table for each song (that's why you're prompted for a user name)
- The iTunes Library remembers who made beats for each song

Watch for a couple new tracks coming soon, too.

It's already in iBrickr and will be in Installer very soon, thanks to Shaun who does half the packaging for Installer.app. Give him your money! He spends a lot of time packaging these apps for mass consumption and deserves a lot of the credit for how easy it is to get applications on your iPhone.

It's what the mobile music experience could be

This project started as I explored ways to view lyrics while listening to my music library on the iPod Touch. Ideas kept coming and I added some concepts (and code) from iMovieMash.com plus great content from the multitude of public video, music and search APIs.

The result was iMusicMash.com, an iPhone and Android G1 social web application that takes your music experience to a whole new level of enjoyment and discovery. You can start with the friends' playlists we already have or load your own iTunes music library. The interface is familiar as it mimics the iPhone's iPod. For each artist, we bring photos from Yahoo Boss Image Search, concert dates from Eventful, and live Twitter discussions. Then, for each song, we bring great YouTube videos, lyrics from LyricWiki, similar songs from Last.fm, and friends' songs for the same artist.

I recently added lyrics search and artist/title search.

iMusicMash was a winner in the Yahoo Developer Mashup contest at the recent Mashup Camp in Mt. View, California.

It’s getting cold outside all over the country and in many cases a portable heating solution is needed. If you are sipping Mai-tai on the beach somewhere I am jealous and you can probably skip this post all together. If not…  TPI carries a full range of portable electric heaters from the small 120V units to these much larger units. The Fostoria Hear Wave Salamanders are available ranging from 10 kW to 45 kW and are designed as a safer flameless alternative to propane or kerosene heaters. Below are some typical applications and a time to heat chart:

New Construction

An insulated “up-to-code” 1800 sg ft building would only need 1 15kW heater to achieve up to 60 degrees temperature rise. Uninsulated, the same space could realize a 40 degree temperature rise. These temperatures would be reached in just over 2 hours.

Pole Building / Work Shop

To heat an insulated 2000 sq ft (40’ x 50’) pole building with a 12’ ceiling – use two 15kW heaters. This would provide a 60 degree temperature increase within 2-3 hours.

The units are very simple to operate and push ambient air over multiple heat coils and recirculation the air within the room until the temperature on the unit’s thermostat is reached. The 10 & 15 kW units operate at 800 CFM while 30 & 45 kW units are able to do 1100 CFM. These units are extremely easy to move around or take to and from the jobsite.

Ohio Power Tool supplies a full range of ceramic, infrared, forced air and radiant electric heaters from TPI. If you have any questions about power requirements, square footage calculation or any other things related to these electric heaters contact the experts at Ohio Power Tool at sales@ohiopowertool.com or call 800-242-4424.

I've always known the story behind Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven." His four year old son was running around a New York City apartment and ran straight out an open window, and died. Hearing the song has always made me sad, but there was something in the back of my head saying "how could they let that happen?" Now I have a two year old who loves standing against and looking out our third floor apartment windows (when they're closed). And with the weather getting nicer, I can see how an ...
